About Me

I am Michelle Jones, a visual communications designer based in a small town just outside of Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2008, I started working for a full-service graphic design and web development agency in Alexandria, Virginia. There, I gained invaluable experience that expanded my visual design skills into the world of web design.

In 2014, I joined the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Communications team. At VDOT, I have developed everything from annual reports to monthly employee newsletters. Since having my two beautiful daughters, I’ve taken on a part-time role with the agency.

Services

Outside of my part-time work and the responsibilities of motherhood, I continue to provide freelance graphic design services, including logo design, branding, print and marketing materials, illustration, book design, web site and interface design, photography and fine art.
